DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson has extended TPS benefits for beneficiaries under the designations of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone for 6 additional months . This extension is intended to facilitate an orderly transition before these designations terminate, effective May 21, 2017. Johnson has determined that these countries no longer support their designations for TPS given that the widespread transmission of Ebola virus that led to the designations has ended. No application nor fee is required from the beneficiaries in order to retain their TPS benefits through May 20, 2017.
